ANTONOV AN-26 “CURL”

The Curl is a Soviet twin-turboprop, multiuse tactical transport produced between 1969 and 1986 by the Antonov Design Bureau. Approximately 1,400 were produced with over three dozen variants and subvariants, including several reconnaissance versions. It was developed from the An-24 “Coke,” another twin-engine turboprop tactical transport. The first production example An-26A took flight in May 1969.
